PLAN DE IGUALDAD EN EL IES NERUDA DURANTE EL CURSO 2022-23

A lo largo del curso, nuestra Coordinadora de Coeducación, Arantzazu Badiola Tejada, especialista en PT del centro, ha organizado múltiples actividades para celebrar las diferentes efemérides relacionadas con este plan así como para concienciar a la comunidad educativa de la importancia de la igualdad en la sociedad y, específicamente, en las vidas de nuestro alumnado. Se recogen aquí algunas de las celebraciones más señaladas.

5 DE NOVIEMBRE:

El IES Pablo Neruda usa su lado más creativo y se viste contra el maltrato de género. El alumnado se implica en el concurso de puertas y en el de cartelería. Además este año se ha apostado por dos modalidades nuevas: poema y rap.

11 DE FEBRERO:

Con motivo de la celebración del Día Internacional de la Mujer y la Niña en la Ciencia, desde el Departamento de Ciencias Naturales, hemos planteado diferentes sesiones para abordar esta efeméride. El alumnado trabaja en grupos de 3/4 buscando información sobre mujeres, preferentemente españolas, que han aportado en algunas de las disciplinas STEM, ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería y matemáticas.

 

8 DE MARZO:

Con motivo del Día de la Mujer, desde el Departamento de Lengua Castellana y Literatura se ha desarrollado el proyecto de Área titulado "Y mi calle pa' cuando".

Donde desde todos los niveles se ha ido dando forma:

- Análisis del callejero de Castilleja de la Cuesta

- Búsqueda de información sobre las mujeres que dan nombre a algunas de nuestras calles.

- Entrevistas a mujeres del pueblo, para conocer sus historias.

- Propuestas de nombres femeninos para algunas calles.

 

 

CHARLA:

Jornada sobre autoconcepto y autoestima con la ponente Pilar Salazar, organizada con los fondos del Plan de Estado y dirigida al alumnado de 1ºESO. El 17 de abril se realizó esta jornada en el gimnasio con los tres grupos, resultando una actividad muy positiva, con la participación activa del alumnado.

 

 

This Year's Language Assistant: Susannah Green (2022-2023)

Hi everyone! My name is Susannah Green. I was the language assistant at IES Pablo Neruda this year. I am from Virginia in the USA. I studied English literature and Spanish language in university. I have always had an interest in the culture and history of Spain, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to live in Sevilla for a year. My favorite things about Sevilla are  walking by the river, eating at local tapas bars, and going to Maria Luisa Park.

My coordinator Elena, and all of the teachers here at Pablo Neruda have been so kind and welcoming to me. They have helped Sevilla become home, helped me improve my Spanish, and have taught me so much about Sevillana culture and life. They have invited me into their homes, driven me to and from school, and conversed with me in Spanish and English during breakfast and throughout the school day. They helped me feel comfortable and have given me the best possible experience. I am grateful for the friendships I’ve made with many of the teachers this year. 

My job at the school is primarily to converse with the students in English. Even though they have bilingual classes and teachIam the native English speaker in the classroom and also represent life and culture from the USA. I have gotten to know all the students in the school as I enter every bilingual class. Classes that I enter are Biology, Physical Education, Technology, Geography and History, Art, and occasionally an English class if needed. The teacher gives me the material for the week, and I teach the presentation, lead the necessary activities, and explain the instructions all in English. While the students work on projects I float around the room and take turns conversing with different students. My favorite part of the job is building relationships with the students so that they feel confident to speak with me in English, no matter their level. The students are so much fun and have helped me learn more about Sevillana and Spanish culture as well. One time, the students even taught me how to dance Sevillanas! They made my job easier, and I had fun with them every day. I am grateful to have met and laughed with all of them. I have seen so much improvement in their English this year. Many of them left me with parting gifts and notes (in English!) expressing their thanks to me for the year. I will miss each of them a lot. My advice for the next Auxiliar is to take every opportunity to talk with the students about anything and to get to know the teachers. Eat breakfast with the teachers – it is a great opportunity to get connected with the school. Everyone wants to get to know you and hear about your life and experience, so don’t be afraid to get involved.

TEATRO EN INGLÉS: HOTEL CANTERVILLE. 1º Y 2º ESO

On 31st January 2023, Tuesday, our students from 1º and 2º ESO attended a performance in English offered by the FacetoFace Company. It was a very free and quite crazy adaptation of The Canterville Ghost, by Oscar Wilde. Some characters were played by our students, whom the actors took to the stage to take part in the action and who did a really amusing performance of their roles.

The behaviour of the students in this activity was excellent and the teachers want to congratulate them on their behaviour.

 El pasado martes 31 de enero, nuestros alumnos y alumnas de 1º y 2º ESO asistieron a una representación en inglés ofrecida por la compañía FacetoFace. La obra que que vieron fue una adaptación muy libre y alocada de The Canterville Ghost, de Óscar Wilde. Algunos personajes de esta adaptación fueron representados por nuestros/as alumnos/as, a los que los actores llevaron al escenario a participar y que ofrecieron una divertidísima versión de sus personajes.

El comportamiento del alumnado es esta actividad fue ejemplar y el profesorado acompañante desea felicitarlos por ello.
